HISTORY

HOW IT ALL STARTED

For years, Clifford Scamara, founder and president of Action House, had been an active street evangelist. He shared the gospel with countless people on the streets of Pismo Beach and other California central coast cities. It is there that Clifford began teaching a small group of young people to be street evangelists.

«Action House» was the name of a tiny coffeehouse that Clifford started, using the place as a base of operation for his ministry. The one major problem he noticed was bringing new believers into the church. It was, at this time, that God gave Clifford a new vision for ministry.

1991

Clifford starts a performing arts outreach named «Action House» at the Atascadero First Assembly Church. The first audience to witness Action House was a crowd of 15 people, enjoying a presentation of skits, mock rocks, and musicians.

1993

Action House plants performing arts programs in other churches.

1995

Action House moves into foreign mission trips and births branches in both Peru and Romania.

2001

Action House produces the #1 Christian Music Video show called «ActionHouse TV», which provided the youth culture a Christian alternative of music videos, exclusive interviews with the bands, and fresh incite to righteous living.

2004

Action House moves on from ACTV and opens the film department.

TODAY

Action House is on the verge of many exciting projects we believe will change the world for Christ. We are working as a production company with our hands in movies, TV, stage, and live events. Making a difference in our world today is what Action House is all about. We are in the business of mentoring and training modern-day missionaries.
